We love fall time!

Carter was introduced to pumpkins for the first time the other day... and loved them! He sat in the bin of pumpkins for quite awhile. And to think he has only seen the few white ones we have in at the market!

He was helping to unload the Mule full of pumpkins. What a helper!

He was literally crawling all over the pumpkins. He couldn't decide which one he wanted to touch and play with so he made sure he got them all!

The stems are delicious too!

Check out the chompers! He definitely knows how to use them too!

A week of firsts!

This has been a very exciting week in the Drew household! We have experienced many new and exciting things.... take a peek!

Carter started baby food this week. He loves his bananas and pears... and absolutely loves sitting in his highchair. This picture was taken at work. I pulled out the camera to get a picture of him and this is what I got. He was sooooo excited to be sitting in the highchair like a big boy. He saw a new world that day!

First time to sit on a tractor! Daddy has been dying to get him up on a tractor! He looked way to comfortable perched up there.... oh boy!

Our first two teeth! The picture is fuzzy... but they are there! Both of his bottom teeth came in on Wednesday morning. I woke up and he was just as miserable as could be and was rubbing his gums on anything he could get his hands on. I decided to massage his gums a little and found these two wonderful surprises! They are soooo crooked but soooo cute!

He is basically sitting up on his own which is also a new development this week! He is so proud of himself when he is sitting there.

We've been invaded!

What an interesting few days! So my dog decided that she was going to be suicidal and run out in front of my uncle driving down the road. He did not see her but she preceeded to run in to his truck. We of course took care of her but couldn't get her to the vet until today... she's fine. The vet said that nothing is broken but she gets to wear this lovely cone around her head. Carter looks at her and just giggles. Mickey looks at her like she is an alien... but he needs to remember that he once wore that and to make it worse... he had a hot pink cast! So both dogs have had to wear the cones.... who's next??

Mom was getting ready to change his diaper the other day... He was not quite finished with his business so she left him to lay for a few minutes before she took the diaper off. I came back into the room a few minutes later and this is what I found. He undid his diaper and rolled over. He was so proud of himself and I was glad I got in there when I did... cause we would've had a mess!

Not quite sure how he managed this one.....

At last!

FINALLY! I am so glad that I finally got time to get on here and get some pics of the munchkin on here. We are absolutely having a blast with Carter and enjoying every moment with him. It's been a crazy month... too much has gone on to write about... but here are some pictures...

Carter is absolutely in love with the pool. Mom went and bought a floaty for him... we can hardly get him out of it!

We had uncle John and aunt Sarah's wedding on the 26th. We had a blast and Carter thoroughly enjoyed his first wedding....

I am soooo sorry that I haven't gotten any pictures up lately. We have been so busy here on the farm and off the farm. It has been a crazy few weeks but we are managing to get by. I promise that I will get some new pictures up on the blog very soon.

Carter is growing by leaps and bounds anymore. We were at the doctor last week for his 4 month checkup and he has grown! ( no surprise!) He is now 25 inches long and weighs a whopping 15 lbs. 12 oz. Yeah thats right... he's a beast. Doesn't look all that big, but he is one solid sucker!

Growing up too fast!

So many things have happened in the last few weeks since I posted last. Carter decided that we wanted to grow up and start rolling over ALL THE TIME! This is bittersweet for me cause he's growing up but now I can't just leave him and know that he'll be there when I get back. So much for my independence! He had been doing some rolling over the last few weeks... but yesterday he really got the hang of it and just went crazy. He was going from back to front and front to back. He's a champ! And I'm sure he'll get bored with this rolling over stuff and decide to do something bigger and better - that's definitely the Jason in him!


Carter and his aunt Maria... We had her bridal shower last Sunday and Carter was lucky enough to be invited! (like we had a choice... he is sooooo attached to his mommy!)

We went out to my mom and dad's camp last night to see how things were going... The pavilion was down (thanks to a huge tree that fell on it during a storm)... and we were missing several trees that my dad had cut down. He says there are only 14 trees that were cut down... but it looks more like 24. I knew it was only a matter of time before the trees were cut down. Instead of having a cabin in the woods... he has a cabin in the field... with a few trees...

We're working really hard on a mohawk.... we'll get there someday.... but isn't he just too stinkin' cute?

I thought I would try posting a video... and see how it goes. Jason was off Wed and so were we! We had a million errands to run... but daddy found time to get him giggling! I just wanted all of you to experience a short clip of my happy baby!

3 month check up

We went to see Dr. Lubold for Carter's three month check-up on Thursday. Carter now weighs 14 lbs. 8 oz. and is 24 1/2 inches long! He is still in the 75th percentile for height and weight and is in the 90th for his head! He is growing like a weed! P.S. he loves his mom!

Summertime.... its only just begun!

You might be wondering what my son is sucking on... If you have identified it as asparagus... you are right! We are right in the middle of asparagus season and Mary and I have been working soooooo hard on bundling a million pounds of asparagus for the last month. (Ok... well maybe not a million...) We were bundling some the other day and it was soooo stinkin hot that Mary gave Carter a piece of asparagus to hold - to help cool him off - since we keep it in the cooler. It was entertaining him and then all of a sudden we heard him sucking on it... it was too funny. He really loves his asparagus already!!

A hard days work deserves a long nap! This is what my son looks like at work almost every day. Carter is the only one with the 'no clothes policy' - if you were wondering... And as you can tell - my son is a thumb sucker...

Carter got to go swimming for the first time on Sunday. I wasn't sure what to expect... but he loved it! Obviously he is gonna be a water baby this summer. He really enjoyed his time in the water... so much that he pooped on his nana's leg. That was quite the experience for the both of them!



I think my son is part spitbug. I am constantly wiping his chin... so much that he has broken out in a rash due to the constant rubbing and heat! Poor thing! But obviously it doesn't affect him one bit!

We had Annie and Claire's graduation party a few weeks ago and had a million visitors that weekend. This is Isabella (Annie's cousin), who was absolutely in love with Carter. She kept kissing on him all night!

I don't even remember where we were or what we were doing... but this picture was too cute not to put on! He is such an angel.

It's been a busy few weeks!

Hey... I just wanted to let everyone know that we are still alive and doing very well! We have had a busy two weeks!!! Janet, Phyl, and the Sweetings were here to visit... so that kept us going for a week! We have also been very busy with work and playing! Carter is changing everyday... and I'm loving every minute of it. He is now giggling all the time to his daddy... but when mom tries to get him to giggle... there is nothing! I guess daddy's just a funnier looking/acting person than his mommy! I will get some pictures on soon!
