that's how country boys roll!!

Now... I know I don't have the most fashion sense.... but this is ridiculous!
What a sight for sore eyes. It almost embarrasses me to let him play out in the yard looking like this...
backwards navy hat... check!
camo boots... check!
red gutchies.... check!
rad tattoo on the forearm... check!

men workin... comin thru!

I am trying to get him used to the feeling of 'big boy underwear'... and figured it wouldn't hurt anything to let him do it in the yard. Less of a mess for mommy if he forgets!!

STUDMUFFIN!

So I thought it would be cute to get a picture of the 3 of us...
as you see... it didn't work out too well!
first try...
second try...

third try...

fourth try...
I finally gave up and decided to join them in their silliness!
and then their is this crazy animal!!

My little happy man!

Some day my little chunka munka will hate me for this...
but I don't care! He is too cute to miss this photo opp!!

Carter loves kissing his little brother!

my oish little man!

*********************************************
and once again... a Carter story worth mentioning:
*I was cleaning up the kitchen the other day before dinner and Carter came running into the kitchen yelling and screaming. I couldn't understand him... so I asked him to slow down. He started yelling at me "turtles! turtles!" I had no clue what he was talking about... I was trying to figure out which toy he was wanting or what book he was talking about... and then it happened! He began tugging at his diaper. "mommy, turtles in my diaper!" OOOHHHHHH I see!!
He had pooped in his diaper... haha!

The first big kill...

Before I get into the story of the 'big kill'....
Ya think they look alike??
Carter:

Elliot:

some days I think yes... some days I think no.
****************************
THE BIG KILL
Jason and Carter have started an almost nighly ritual of a 4 wheeler ride. They usually just putz around the farm and hit a few puddles and Carter is happy (Daddy, not so much). Jason feels the "need for speed"... and I just roll my eyes.
A few nights ago, Jason and Carter went over to our neighbors land to set a few groundhog traps.(Bill and Jason have been trapping for years and have gotten thousands over the years... its for crop damage you know. *eye roll* at least that's what they say. I think its an excuse to be away from the wife and children... but i'm sure he would tell me i'm crazy).
ok.. so they head over the hill with some traps. I was fine with that. Elliot and I stayed home to do laundry, cook dinner, and ya know.. the mommy stuff. We were enjoying the quiet time and then I hear the 4 wheeler and Carter yelling, "Mommy! Look! duggog!" I go out on the front porch and there it is... my son's first kill! ugh... I of course shot a look to jason (who's smile was beaming from ear to ear).
so here it is folks... the first kill!
He was sooooo proud! And take note of the rock in his hand... yeah. He used that to throw at the groundhog once it was dead.
Now the story Jason tells me goes a little like this.
They were riding thru the fields and they spotted the mommy and her 3 babies running. Carter yelled, "Get it daddy!" So of course, Jason speeds up. They hit one of the smaller ones and Jason goes to slow down and Carter is bailing off the bike before it even comes to a complete stop. He runs up to is and starts throwing rocks, sticks and anything he could get his hands on... Jason was proud... and I cringed.

Little man has learned how to splash me during bathtime. HILARIOUS! I am usually soaked from top to bottom before bathtime is over.

Nana and her boys. Carter looks like he's up to no good!!

My boys... melt.my.heart.
and then there's this...
"Hey mom!? You mean't don't touch him like this, right?!"

don't worry son... your days of freedom are coming closer to an end... Elliot will be rocking your boat in no time!!

Happy boys!

Love this one of Carter... he looks so grown up!

Elliot would seriously hang out in this swing all day if I let him!

this is my 2 year old's idea of saying cheese and smiling...

Elliot had his 4 month check up on the 25th of May...
18 lbs. 4 oz.
26 1/2 in. long
Needless to say.... he is growing and eating all the time! I have started him on rice cereal and he is doing well with it. This kid is showing no signs of slowing.

And i leave you now with one of the most precious pictures of my boys.
(I love saying that.... MY boys.)
God is so good... I am truly blessed!

Mommy freakin' out!

ok... so i don't have any new pictures to put up this morning... but I do have a little diddy to share with you!
*****************************************
Sunday morning started off like any other morning. Carter was awake around 7 am... came into my room and cuddles for a while. We had no plans for the day... so we just cuddled the morning away. Around 8 am we decided to get out of bed and actually do something productive (meaning he was demanding that I make him breakfast!) And Elliot was sleeping peacefully in his crib.
Now, every morning as we come down the stairs, I open the blinds of all the windows. We came down the few steps to the landing, I reach to open the blind and about pee myself. About 2 feet from me is this freaky looking black bird! Yeah that's right... a bird in my house!!?? I screamed and literally pulled Carter down the stairs behind me! Poor thing had no clue of what was going on!
As soon as we get downstairs... I call Jason. His response - "just get a towel or a tupperware container, catch it, and put it outside!" My response - "REALLY?! Seriously?! Are you on crack?! I'm NOT touching that thing! Call Bill!" Now at this point I would say I am 'slightly' freakin' out. Jason calls back and says Bill is on his way to catch the bird. I relax. I need a cup of coffee... that'll calm me down.
As I'm still talking to Jason on the phone, I walk out into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. I look up and what to I see?! Another freakin' bird on the window above my sink!!!! Yeah, I'm now up to the status of 'majorly' freakin' out!! I scream... run into the living room... scoop Carter up and hit the couch. We have our backs to the corner and I can see the living room, the steps to upstairs and the kitchen door... those birds aren't gonna get us!
Now as luck would have it... the dogs finally spot the bird on the landing upstairs... and start climbing the walls to get it. It takes off... flying downstairs into the dining room. It flies right into one of my windows and the dogs are in full attack mode now. Luckily it turned right back around and headed upstairs... with Mickey and Kenzie in hot pursuit! But wait... its upstairs... and so is my 4 month old! I pulled the door shut... so hopefully it doesn't fly in there.... hopefully. Thank god he is sleeping thru this fiasco! Jason is still on the phone at this point about ready to die from laughing... cause I was giving him a play by play of the situation and Carter was beginning to realize something wasn't quite right. So as I got more and more worked up.. so did he!
Ugh... where is Bill?!? He lives like .2 miles away.... seriously...
Mickey and Kenzie are tearing up the upstairs at this point. I can hear things being knocked over and them clawing to get this thing!
I finally see him coming up the road... so I cautiously get off the couch and get the doors open so he can make a quick exit with the little 'rats with wings!!' Bill is cracking up at this point.
Bill - "ok... so I need a towel to catch them with."
Me - "well.. there are towels up in the bathroom... not going up there! and towels
in the kitchen... not going in there! Grab whatever you can find... I don't care!"
Bill walks right up to the bird.. grabs it.. and throws it outside. Show off!
Goes upstairs and does the same thing with the second one. Show off!
I then spent the next half hour cleaning up the house... picking all the things the dogs knocked over during their hunt... and of course the bird poo! eeewww!
Apparently these birds entered my house thru the chimney and came thru the furnace! Nice, real nice! Needless to say... there is a towel now shoved in the opening of the furnace... I refuse to have another unwanted visitor (or two) in my house!
Once we were all settled... Elliot woke up and Carter calmed down.
For the rest of the day... every person we talked to Carter would say, "birds in house. mommy freakin' out!"
Oh the life of a country girl!

Silly name!

Let me set the scene for you:
Its a rainy saturday morning... I don't feel like doing anything but sit on my computer and stalk people on facebook, Carter is playing on the floor with ALL of his cars and tractors, and Elliot is still sleeping at 8:45! (yay for me!!)
Carter is laying on the floor with his tractors, cars and trucks all lined up and is driving them all over. He is jibbering and jabbering quietly and I'm thinking nothing of it. (its not unusual for him to talk and talk ALL DAY LONG!! He starts around 7 am and doesn't stop until 9 pm!) He is just talking ad talking and cracking himself up... i listen closer and chuckle to myself.
He is sitting there whispering:
" Lexi *chuckle* silly name."
"Charolette *chuckle* silly name."
"Yessica *chuckle* silly name."
and so on and so forth... I think he named just about every person we know.
He is too funny!
********************************
I don't know whether to be proud of my big boy... or be embarassed....
Elliot is 4 1/2 months old... is wearing 6-12 mo. clothing... no biggie right?!
not a big deal to me... but check out the pants....
yeah thats right! We can't button them!
ahem... let me rephrase that. I can button them if he is laying down... but if he is going to be in any sort of upright postition... don't even think about buttoning them!
My crazy Carter is playing in boxes that we unpacked at moms house. we made a whole little community of boxes for him. One was for his dvd player and the other was his snack shack. He thoroughly enjoyed himself!

Breakin' in the kitchen sink!

we've definitely broken in the new kitchen sink! both boys LOVE getting a bath at nana's house. I think they have taken more baths at my parents house in the past two weeks than they have at home! these are just a few pics... i will hopefully get a few more up within the next few days.

my litlle E is getting soooooo big!

he is almost sitting up all by himself.

he loves his big brother. no matter what Carter is doing... he is watching. I think he gets dizzy sometimes... cause C doesn't stop moving.

Carter is also getting bigger and 'badder' by the minute! every day is a complete whirlwind with him in it!
C is absolutely in love with his brother... I am constantly telling him that he needs to 'back off!' I keep telling him that he is gonna get it as soon as elliot is mobile... I don't think he takes me seriously!!!
he loves tractors (only the green and yellow ones), trucks, cars... actually, anything with wheels.
he will eat anything that is put in front of him! asparagus is a fast growing favorite.
he is an absolute chatter box! from 6:30 in the morning until about 9:00 at night... i listen to my little parrot. I love it!

melt. my. heart.

Carter story:
as many of you know, my husband is a HUGE Ford truck fan. He won't drive anything else. Chevy, Nissan, Toyota... they are swear words in our house.
Mom and I were headed to Wal-mart the other day (*gasp* I know... I despise going there.. but i had to) Carter rode with mom. When we got there... she is cracking up as she gets out of the car. I figured he was up to no good. She opens his door and all i hear is... "Daddy love chevy trucks!" over and over and over! This was too good not to share with daddy....
We called Jason and he was NOT happy!! Based on the reaction Jason gave him.... that is all he is saying! Too funny!

'Loppy Gisses'

Carter is quite the character. He loves to give kisses! He will give kisses to anyone and everyone! He is now into sloppy kisses. He calls them 'loppy gisses'... so the next time you are with us... watch out!
The Masterson's bought Carter this elephant hat for Christmas. He loves it. He is constantly wearing it throughout the house... while he is eating, playing, terrorizing his little brother or the dogs, and has even asked to wear it to bed.

Carter was standing at the window watching for daddy last night. Too funny!

This past weekend we went spent a night in Tionesta at Jason's family's camp. We had a great time! Kenny, Maria & Max (Jason's brother and family), Patty & Nick (Jason's mom and fiance), Joe & Linda (Jason's uncle and girlfriend) and Jessica & Jerome (Maria's sister and boyfriend).
Carter had an absolute blast! He played outside, despite the cold rainy weather.
Brothers... Carter looks like he's up to no good... while Elliot is just hammin' it up!

Carter is lovin' on his little cousin Max!
My beautiful little trouble maker!

The three cousins...
Elliot is fixated on something...
Max looks frightened... (probably cause he's sitting by Carter..)
And Carter... well he's trying to look like he isn't gonna get into trouble!
Seriously boys... is it really that difficult to just look at the camera??!! Neither of them would cooperate... boys will be boys!
My other beautiful boy! I just love him soooo much!
We had his 3 month check up a week ago.. and boy is he growing.
Elliot is now weighing in at a whopping 16 lbs. 10 oz. (probably more now since it's been a week) and is 25 inches long. He is in the 95th percentile for weight and 75th for height. His Dr. said... he's a very 'healthy' boy! What?! did she just call my kid chubby?!
What about those lips? Just love them!

He's just a chunka munka! See for yourself!

Eat much?! I just love him!!!!

I love this little monkey too! He is my little Max! SOOOOOO cute!! Look at that beautiful little mouth.
Carter and his cousin Lilly. I love this picture!
Some more Carter stories:
*We were on our way home last night and the sun was setting (gorgeous by the way). The sun was very bright and was in our eyes... He starts yelling at me "Mommy! Sun is shiny! Shiny in my eyes! Bright!" He then proceeded to ask for his sunglasses... and all was good.
*We have a Bar-b-q place here in town called Hogfather's. They have a person that dresses up like a pig and stands out in front of the store and dances and waves to cars passing by. Carter absolutely loves him! Everytime we are in town... he has to check to see if the dancing pig is out. As we drive by he says "Dance pig out? Nope! Next time mommy."
Now that the weather is getting nice... it's out almost every day. Today we drove by... he shreiked cause it was out, waved and then let out a big *sigh*. I asked him what was wrong... and he says "buy one sunday mommy" I ask him, "buy what on sunday honey?" He
responds, "Dance pig mommy. Buy one sunday." I just chuckled...
*The other night Mom, the boys and myself took a trip over to TJMaxx. They both did very well... until the car ride home. Carter was getting tired and we all know what that means. He gets loud and slightly obnoxious. I put on a movie for him so mom and I could 'catch up'. That didn't happen. He began yelling "Mom! Gelsea! Gels! Mommy!" I kindly asked him to stop.. but it just got louder and more frequent. I finally said, "Carter you need to stop before... " I stopped.. cause i really didn't have a good threat at the time. He then starts in his 'sweet' little whisper voice, "Mom! Gelsea! Gels! Mommy!" It took everything in me to not start cracking up! Mom didn't help... cause she was cracking up in the seat next to me!
