The summer in a nutshell...

The summer has come and gone... quickly!

We didn't take any special trips... but boy oh boy were we busy.

The boys are growing like weeds, and changing daily.
It amazes me how much they have changed over a few short months.

When did my baby turn 9 months old??
Sawyer is crawling and exploring everything.
He has 8 teeth that he chooses to use on a daily basis... ouch!
At 8 1/2 months he decided that he wanted to be a big boy... he quit nursing.  :) :(
He loves to pull himself up on anything he can.
Anything and everything that he isn't allowed into... he gets into.
His curiosity is amazing!!
The personality of this little man never ceases to amaze me...
He is just an all around awesome little guy!

Elliot... my dear sweet Elliot.
He is 2 1/2... need I say more?!
He is talking like crazy.  He actually never stops!
He loves tractors and trucks.
His blonde curls and blue eyes are adorable and save him on a daily basis (refer to previous statement about him being 2 1/2)  ;)
I know the hair is wild... but I refuse to cut those blonde curls.
Elliot's favorite thing to do is riding 4 wheelers with daddy.
He's such an amazing child!

Carter... is growing and changing... he's not my 'little baby' anymore. *sniffle*
He is 4 1/2 going on 14.
Carter is going to school 3 days a week and loving every minute of it!
He begged us to put him into extended day preschool and is enjoying it.
He goes for 4 1/2 hours and gets to eat lunch at school with his friends.
We are working ever so slowly on writing his name. He is actually getting pretty good at it!
Carter absolutely LOVES going to work with Aunt Mary.
He listens well and is her big helper.
He is such an amazing big brother.  He keeps everyone in line...

My boys are amazing gifts from God...
see for yourself...

This boy is addicted to my phone.
If I can't find my phone... I look for Carter and 9 times out of 10... he's got it.
Eyes glued... oblivious to the world...

How can you stay mad at this face?!

Jason has started a little tradition with my guys...
Every once in a while, when Jason actually has a Saturday off, they have a campout.
The boys love it.
They get to completely rearrange my living room.
Eat s'mores.
We usually order pizza.
They watch several movies with daddy.
Life is good.

Thumbs up!!

A smidge late... but these are some of the monthly pictures of my little angel.

Everything goes in this kids mouth...

This is what happens when that mean old mommy takes it away...
break.my.heart

Crisis averted... gave him something less expensive to chew on...

9 month pictures will be coming soon...

If it isn't raining... you can find my guys outside.

My friend Tara has the most awesome dog.
Izzy is an English Mastiff.
She wasn't even a year old when this picture was taken.
She is a horse...
A gentle giant...
and the boys love her!

Carter decided to use her as his work horse.
She did pretty well.

Men working... coming thru!!

Love the blonde halo...
don't be fooled!  ;)

Fixin the broke tractor.

We attempted a picture of the kids with the dogs...
didn't work out so well...

How did I get so lucky?!

Carter's first day of preschool.
Hard to believe he will be starting Kindergarten this time next year!!
Crazy!!!

he had a blast... and so did we!!
Elliot was always dressed in full t-ball gear.
he even got to hit the ball a few times during the games.

Carter played with two of his best friends.
they love one another.
it was an absolute blast to watch them out on the field together.

boys will be boys...

there is something to say about boys and their dirt...
and water...
and john deere tractors...
and trucks...
and so on...

all of my boys are happy,
but they are happiest outside...

men at work.

chubbers!

daddy took sawyer for his first 4 wheeler ride around the yard...
literally a few feet...
and the brothers were super excited about it!

get that thing outta my face!!

elliot loves baking, cooking, and helping out in the kitchen.
nana and ell were making banana bread.
just a little excited about it!
haha

carter loves to play on his mobigo!
if it gets quiet...
9 times out of 10 he is on that stinkin thing.

molly went to prom.
the boys were pumped that they got to skip naps to see her in her dress.
carter got all dressed up to go to grand march
(he loves to have a reason to dress up)

trying to master bike riding so that we can take off those training wheels!

we let the dogs have a swim in the pond.
elliot wanted in with them.
this momma didn't allow that!
who knows what is lurking under the surface of that water!
snapping turtles, grass carp the size of texas, humunga catfish, snakes... need I continue?!

fine then... I'll take the tractor in...
ummm... no!
luckily daddy was on it and stopped him before we were fishing the tractor out of the pond!

we have had many rainy days lately.
the boys have been begging me to let them go puddle jumping.
so I let them.
elliot lasted for abot 2.7 seconds before he was cold.
carter on the other hand....

was out in the ditch...
in his underwear...
having the time of his life!
(don't worry people... we were on the lookout for cars!)

he hurt his foot at one point... but luckily he pushed thru it!
carter is a very dramatic child... haha

elliot found carters injury amusing.

there is never a dull moment with these boys...
I love them so much!!
